George brings over 30 years of medical leadership experience to Summit Diagnostics. In 2007 he founded Summit Diagnostics to help clients understand the growing drug testing market. He established standards that led the way and helped reduce costs in point of care and laboratory testing. George was the first to add Buprenorphine to the first testing platforms, which helped physicians recognize the need for patient monitoring in an effort to increase safety and patient safety and success. In 2008 George helped research and launch the first Pharmacogenomics testing partnerships that helped medical professionals understand the benefit of this testing. George Co publishes “Recovery Plus Magazine” the first international publication that addresses addiction and recovery.
Chris Lowery currently serves Summit Diagnostics as President. He leads our efforts in clinical sales, national accounts, business development, and laboratory partnerships. Chris and his teams enable us to bring the full value of the Summit Diagnostics product portfolio to our clients and their patients nationwide. Previously, Chris led teams in three key account development areas of the business: Physician Practices, Substance Use Treatment Programs, and Hospital Partnerships. Chris joined Summit Diagnostics in 2010 and served in several key roles, including the Director of Sales of Access Dx (behavioral health division), the Director of Sales, and the Vice President of Sales. Throughout his career at Summit, Chris has been committed to one purpose – providing clients with high quality drug safety tools to help protect patients and providers in managing their substance use and chronic pain treatments. A native of Virginia, Chris began his 29-year career in laboratory sales with Becton Dickinson and has held a variety of leadership positions in laboratory and ancillary medical sales throughout the US and Europe. Chris earned a bachelor's degree in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Virginia.
Nancy always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. It was only fitting that after working in operations management, she chose a career in medical sales. She could see the value in bringing quality services and devices to improve the lives of patients and providers. Nancy has enjoyed a productive successful career from her entrance into the field some 25 years ago. Besides an extensive background in surgical and hospital sales, she was a key executive in the launch of two new start-ups and has enjoyed running her own company. Innovation, creative thinking, and integrity are the cornerstones of her commitment. Nancy is proud to be a dedicated leader at the Summit Diagnostics organization for nine years and counting. Nancy has developed an expertise and consultative approach to working with providers at ground level to introduce and understand the latest technology and research in lab testing. Originally from Illinois, she graduated from University of Texas with her MBA, moved to Florida with her husband and raised 4 children. She now resides in Oklahoma and enjoys traveling the world with her husband and grown children, outdoor activities, and volunteerism.
Jenny's passion for sales and customer service has been a way of life since the young age of 5-selling Girl Scout cookies and magazines -enough to travel to Europe! She now leads a troop of over 30 girls instilling core values, leadership skills, top cookie sales in the state, and most of all: making friends and having fun! Jenny has an extensive background in pharmaceutical and toxicology sales leadership. Her interests in corporate operations and sales stems from a successful leadership career with a Fortune 50 company, PepsiCo.
Rick recently joined the Summit Diagnostics team as our Operations Director. He has a long and distinguished track in operations, staffing, strategic planning, and performance improvement. He has been instrumental in streamlining processes and implementing initiatives, improving quality, turn-around time, employee engagement, and team building.
H. LLoyd Smith serves as Compliance Officer for Summit Diagnostics. In this role, he is responsible for leading the internal processes for promoting and ensuring Summit’s compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and contracts. He is also responsible for formulating and implementing Summit’s compliance policies and procedures, including its Code of Conduct, and making sure they are communicated and trained upon across the company. Prior to joining Summit, LLoyd served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer of Mid America Clinical Laboratories, the largest independent laboratory in Indiana. He has served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer for the Department of Veteran Health Affairs VISN 20 with compliance oversight responsibilities for VISN 20 operations in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. LLoyd is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer whose achievements included serving as the Deputy Commander of the 4th Medical Support Squadron and also having served as a laboratory consultant for the U.S. Pacific Air Force Surgeon General. Lloyd received a B.S. in Medical Technology from East Carolina University, a M.S. Biology and an applied M.S. Immunohematology from Bowling Green State University, and a M.P.A. From the University of Maine. He resides in Rogers, KY with his wife.
Nechol Thayer serves as our Director of Long Term Care. She brings a wealth of medical sales leadership experience to Summit, having developed and led sales teams within the pharmaceutical, capital equipment, and clinical and toxicology arenas. Client centric and patient focused, Nechol enjoys creating strategic, customized, drug safety and testing protocols for her clients. Nechol earned a BSBA from East Carolina University and her MBA from Queens University. She is also a Master Certified Professional Coach. Nechol lives in Mooresvile, NC, with her husband, three children, and female dog, Charley.
Joanna is currently working in the addiction and recovery portion of diagnostics while focusing on community healthcare growth. Joanna has over 10 years of experience in pharma and the diagnostic arena and 18 years experience in marketing, advertising and senior sales consultation in both the for-profit and non-profit sector. While serving in these positions, Joanna has been responsible for sales strategy, territory management, strategic planning and market analysis while maintaining monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets and goals.
