H. LLoyd Smith serves as Compliance Officer for Summit Diagnostics. In this role, he is responsible for leading the internal processes for promoting and ensuring Summit’s compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and contracts. He is also responsible for formulating and implementing Summit’s compliance policies and procedures, including its Code of Conduct, and making sure they are communicated and trained upon across the company.

Prior to joining Summit, LLoyd served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer of Mid America Clinical Laboratories, the largest independent laboratory in Indiana. He has served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer for the Department of Veteran Health Affairs VISN 20 with compliance oversight responsibilities for VISN 20 operations in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. LLoyd is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer whose achievements included serving as the Deputy Commander of the 4th Medical Support Squadron and also having served as a laboratory consultant for the U.S. Pacific Air Force Surgeon General.

Lloyd received a B.S. in Medical Technology from East Carolina University, a M.S. Biology and an applied M.S. Immunohematology from Bowling Green State University, and a M.P.A. From the University of Maine. He resides in Rogers, KY with his wife.
